St. Philip is a stewardship Parish, emphasizing the
privilege and responsibility of parishioners to give time, talent and
treasure to Christ and to St. Philip Parish according to their abilities.
All active Parish members can be part of any activity or program of St.
Philip Parish regardless of their financial circumstances. Contact
our organization sources or volunteer coordinator to sign up for, or request
help from any of the ministries or programs of St. Philip Parish.
Major projects of this committee have been welcoming new members, conduction
a Parish Survey, publishing Parish handbooks, organizing the ministry fair
and the Angel Tree at Christmas.
Stewardship
of Time and Talent:
St. Philip Parish offers many opportunities to
serve the Parish and people in need. We encourage all to consider
giving at least one hour of service each month through the Parish.
Stewardship of Treasure:
St.
Philip Church believes and teaches the Biblical standard of financial
giving: “A sacrifice in proportion to our blessings.” All parishioners are
encouraged to the same sacrifice - 10% of their income back to God through
charity. We offer the following formula for your prayerful
consideration:
5-8% to the
Parish
1% to the Catholic Parishes Campaign
1-4% to personal
charities
Membership is
volunteer and/or appointed by Pastor or Parish Council. They meet at
6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month.
