Any woman, 18 years or older, and a Parishioner of St. Philip Church, is automatically a member by belonging to the Parish, and is therefore entitled to all benefits of the organization.
This is a very active organization within the parish and holds its meetings the 4th Tuesday of each month. I lieu of a regular business meeting, the meeting times in the months of May and December can be utilized for times of gathering for fellowship and celebration by the Parish ladies.
The Club has a two-fold purpose: (1) Provides any and all needs related to the altar and sanctuary of St. Philip Church , and (2) To bring together the women of our Christian community for activities that will benefit them, the Parish and our community, personally as well as spiritually.
Responsibilities of the altar and sanctuary include altar breads, wine, vestments, surplices, altar cloths and other supplies deemed necessary to facilitate the day to day functions of the Church, the celebration of Masses, and its services. Additionally, monies for cleaning supplies, as needed, will be provided to the Church Cleaning Committee, which consists of nine groups of volunteers that clean the church weekly on a rotating basis.
The
Ladies Club provide bereavement dinners for the deceased members of our
Parish by four large teams of volunteers. In addition, various
fundraisers may be held during the year. Finally, the Ladies Club
occasionally hosts a
Mother-Daughter Banquet in May and they hold an annual Christmas party in December for
all the ladies of the Parish.
